Nutrisystem has a large community that you can get involved with. When you log into your membership, you’ll see your options:

Here’s a little overview of what you’ll find:

  • Discussion Boards: There are plenty of forums where you can talk to like-minded people. There is a section for new members and recipe sharing. There are also forums for certain age groups, diabetics, moms, challenges, men and fitness.
  • Blogs: You can browse and comment on other member’s blogs. You can even start your own. You can post photos, share your thoughts and more.
  • Chat Rooms: There are weekly chats scheduled and if you click “Go to Chat Rooms” you can add your avatar and then see the current schedule.

When you go to the online tools page, on the top left corner you’ll see your progress:

You can update your current weight by entering it in the box and clicking the “Weigh In” button. It will update your progress like this:

To see more about what’s available in the free membership, click the “Go To My Program” link shown above. On the next page you’ll see some interesting features.

Take a look at the left side of the page and you can enter a number of details to help you make the best use of the membership:

Log My Exercise:

This section allows you to enter the activity you did, how long and it will keep track of the calories burned. Start by choosing an activity from the drop-down menu:

Once you’ve chosen your main activity, another drop-down will appear to help you specify. In this example, we’ve chosen bicycling:

Once you’ve selected the specific activity, you can enter the duration and it will calculate the approximate calories burned for you:

Click “Add” to add the activity to your activity log.

Other Logs:

  • Log My Weight: You can update your weight anytime.
  • Log My Journal: These are private entries and notes to yourself.
  • Log My Measurement: Enter and update your measurements anytime.

Report Your Water

Back on your main “My Program” page, you can also keep track of your water intake on the left side of the page. Just click the water glasses to add more water.

Plan Your Meals

On the main section of your My Program page, you can see a meal planner. It allows you to plan your breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack and dessert to track calories of Nutrisystem foods and some regular foods as well.

Here is a sample breakfast:

You can edit your item by clicking the “Edit” button. You can also add more items by clicking “Add more food to Breakfast”.
To add a meal item on a new meal, simply click the “Select” button:

Once you click that, your choices will appear:

Once you’ve completed all the information for your meals, snacks and dessert, you’ll find a total calorie count at the bottom right:

The system will keep track of this for your current day and add it to your calendar and you can view your monthly calendar anytime by choosing the Monthly View at the top of the page:

If you have special dietary needs, you can also select a different mean plan, by clicking the link near the top of the page:

By clicking that you can see other options for vegetarian, diabetic, etc.
