Green Tea Pills For Weight Loss Review

Oprah switches to green tea

In the West, fats, proteins, and sugars are refined in quantities that are hard to burn. This has come about as we have made the move towards processed and fried foods and away from fruits and vegetables. Additionally, we have been driven by the flavors and chemical makeups of our food to consume larger amounts of food than we would normally eat of fruits and vegetables. Long ago, a standard steak was only a few ounces. Now, people feel like they are getting a raw deal if they get less than ten ounces, and most opt for the 16-ounce steaks.

Green tea has long been renowned for its health properties, but lately it has gained traction in the form of green tea weight loss supplements. Many believe that tea helps to curb appetite. At the same time, green tea has caffeine, which can increase metabolism slightly.

In fact, green tea weight loss supplements are among the most commonly used. Ephedra and protein are also very popular weight loss supplements. Generally, a weight loss supplement you buy at a grocery store or pharmacy will have one of these three ingredients. But consensus is that great tea weight loss supplements are the safest of the three.

Protein weight loss supplements aid people who are on a low carb diet. When only proteins and fats are consumed, the body is believed to go into ketoacidosis. This is a state of increased fat metabolism. As a result, the body breaks down its fat storage. Protein is hard on the digestive organs and shouldn’t be a chief nutrient in a diet for prolonged periods of time.

Ephedra is not as common as it once was, now that the government has begun to intervene to protect consumers. It speeds up metabolism and makes the body function at high energy levels. Many people have died of heart failure during ephedra usage. If your purpose for losing weight is health, it doesn’t make any sense to mess around with this dangerous drug.

In addition to caffeine, green tea also contains EGCG. Together, the two ingredients are believed to increase metabolism without a corresponding increase in appetite. Unfortunately, there haven’t been any reputable long-term studies done on green tea weight loss supplements to verify its efficacy. Also, if you plan on using concentrated doses of green tea, you need to talk to your doctor to make sure it is safe for you and won’t interact poorly with anything else you are currently taking.

The antioxidants of green tea, which have been studied for their other health benefits, are also thought to possibly benefit weight loss by keeping the body healthy and functioning at high energy levels. Some less verifiable studies have concluded that you can loose a couple of pounds per month using high antioxidant supplements such as those found in green tea weight loss supplements. A certain type of antioxidants, known as catechins, is found in green tea that is believed to slightly suppress fat absorption by the body.

Additionally, the amino acid theanine is believed to increase relaxation by increasing dopamine releases. Some believe this removes some of the jittery effect caffeine normally causes in people.

If green tea weight loss supplements aren’t your thing, you may prefer to look into acupuncture. Many people believe it can fix everything. But keep in mind that an acupuncture practitioner probably won’t be covered by your insurance plan, even if he or she is certified by the National Certification Commission For Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

But if it helps you with your weight loss and other areas of health, it may still be cheaper than the health costs of being overweight, especially now that employers are beginning to charge overweight employees more to join the health plan. As long as your doctor approves of your use of acupuncture or green tea weight loss supplements, there is no reason not to at least give them a try.
